Empowering children and young people in Kampala metropolitan area

Kamwokya Tresor Life center is a youth led non-profit, community social enterprise, established in 2002. It attributes to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, National development objectives and Kamwokya Christian Caring Community’s mission and vision, as a universal call for action to reduce poverty, HIV and AIDS, protect the environment, improve health and education among the vulnerable, reduce inequality, and ensure that all people enjoy their rights, peace and prosperity.

Its primary focus is on the most vulnerable children, youth and adults affected by poverty, HIV and AIDS, gender discrimination and hunger, due to lack of both life and livelihood skills that can help them reduce their vulnerabilities and making them resourceful in society.

Primary operational geographic scope

Kamwokya II and the surrounding parishes of Kyebando, Bukoto, Mulago, Kalerwe, Makerere, Mengo, and Kisaasi respectively.

Strategies

Engaging young people, children and adults both male and female in contributing to broader community development through the implementation of an integrated program that employs sports and talent development as a community mobilisation strategy to addressing their social related challenges, improving and enjoying qualitative living.

Providing access to a community development facility and approach that facilitates activities that combine sports and talent development, cultural and youth exchange with, educational enhancement, health promotion, equal rights promotion and poverty reduction initiatives, all aimed at fostering sustainable community pride and aspirations.
